Ciguata or ciguatera is a form of poisoning produced by the consumption of fish typical of coral reefs. Collapse the ciguata. The poisoning is due to the presence of toxins (maitotoxin and ciguatotoxin), which enter the trophic chain by dinoflagellates that live in detritus and in the macroalgas of the reef.
