The word Chipiturco I heard it much in my childhood with my father's family, and mentioned it when referred to a sweater yarn and stitch thick wool of the type of those made or made in Chiconcuac, very warm. Since my father's family is from Hidalgo, I think that the origin of the word is Nanu ( village Mexican indigenous ). I must also say that I heard it to refer fondly to any warm clothing old lady but very good to protect you from the cold.
