In Colombia it is the same as enchipar. It is the activity consisting of making chips, rolls or threads with a strand of wire, with a rope or with a rejo. It can also be in culinary making flour and cheese doughnuts, which are also called chipas. The word is of Guarani origin and there also in Paraguay and Argentina is a donut of cassava flour (starch) and cheese.
