It is one of the names given to a nomadic or semi-nomadic people of Northern Colombia. It is also called Yukpa village, Chaqués, Macoitas and Irokas. and in some periods they pass into Venezuelan territory, up to the Gulf of Maracaibo. Its largest settlement is in the Serranía de Perijá.
