In Colombia it is a popular way to call crickets, grasshoppers or chapulines. Way to call lobsters. The term is widely used in the Departments of Huila and Tolima. It's also a colloquial way of calling cops that because of the color of their uniforms. I make it clear to John that the Saviba Indians adapted that word as their own because of acculturation.
