CHAMBRANA coating molding that is put around doors, windows, etc. It can be a simple bull molding or it can be carved with vegetable or geometric drawings. It is common to see them on the Romanesque covers, embracing the last archivolt. They are sometimes called "dust jacket" although this word is used more for altarpieces.
