centrina . ( Of the Gr. ?, Sting). 1. f. selacio fish of the suborder of the Escuálidos, who lives in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic and can reach over one meter in length. Each of their dorsal fins, the first of which is much greater than the second, is crossed by a rugged spine, including almost the thickness of the fin.
