( Of the lat. )( centynodia ). 1. f. plant of the family of the Poligonáceas, with entire leaves, small and oblong, cylindrical stems with many knots and lying on the land, and small and highly fancied seed of birds. It is medicinal. 2. f. plant of the family of the Poligonáceas, of little more than a meter in height, with a straight stem and very large joints, lanceolate leaves, flowers in terminal Spike, odourless and of green or pink.
