It is the name of a sudden nervous disorder that is characterized by immobility and rigidity of the body. There is loss of sensation and inability to contract muscles, which appears to be death. It can last up to 3 days. Apparent death .

It is a very rare pathological state in which a person remains alive but with very low vital signs, to the point that in other times, without clinical monitoring equipment, it gave the impression of being dead. The Greek etymology is known, but not so clear: 954; 945; 964; 945; ( kata ) is "downward", which can be interpreted in the psychic sense, by vitality; and 955; 951; 968; 953; 962; (Lepsis) is "attacked, trapped, surprised", which can be interpreted as the "disease of the attack of slump".
