It is one of the common names of a tree, in Colombia and Venezuela. Also called caracaro, ear pinion, orejero, huanacaxtle, parota, pich, elephant ear (Mexico), guanacaste (Costa Rica), corotú (Panama), conacaste (Salvador). Its scientific name is Enterolobium cyclocarpum and it belongs to the Fabaceae family. It is forage, ornamental and timber.
