It is one of the common names given in Mexico to a bird of prey of the falconidae family. It is also known as carancho , caracara , caricari , guarro , moñudo , traro . They belong to the genus Caracara . Currently there are 2 species, scientifically named Caracara cheriway and Caracara plancus (although they are considered a single species by many scientists). It is found from Mexico to Argentina. Name of a movie, also known as the claw. It is Spain, there is also a Serranía with the name of Carcaña, remains in the Province of Soria.
