The carancho, also known as piggy, caricari, caracara, traro or shag is a bird of the Family Falconidae. It is similar to a Hawk and has a tuft of feathers on the chute. Its scientific name is Caracara plancus. Carancho is also the name of an Argentine horror film. It is typical of South America.
