The correct term is Cañete. It is a diminutive and contemptuous of cano. It is the name of a river in Peru (Lima Department). It is also a surname of Spanish origin and that there is much in Peru, Paraguay and Chile. In Chile is the name of a town and a commune in the region of Biobío (Arauco province).
