It is one of the many common names (nearly 200) that receives the medicinal plant Plantago decumbens or Plantago lanceolata, Plantaginaceae family. This name is mostly used in Argentina. Also known as lower plantain, carmel, carrajo grass of the piles, psyllium.

In some places they named minor plantain (plantago lanceolata) who also say Fowler birdseed, herb rib, cut, wound, birds, sheep language, goat ear, narrow, Marsh, of the almorra-leaf plantain NAS, seven nerves or lanceolate, seven veins and in many other ways.
