The Cahuara or caguara is a scavenger fish of river of the Amazon basin, which is also known as piggy's River or catfish. Its scientific name is Pterodoras granulosus and belongs to the family Doradidae. The timbuche of cahuara is a very appreciated in Iquitos (Peru) dish during Holy week,
