It is more indicated to use cacomixtle. It is one of the common names of a raccoon-like animal. It is also called rintel, basáride, basarisco. Its scientific name is Bassariscus astutus and it belongs to the family Procyonidae. The word of Nahuatl origin and means medium, similar (tlaco, claco) and mixtle (cat): similar to a cat, half cat, similar to cat.
