Each of the tiny filaments that bind the baleen of a bird's feather together. Filaments or baleen of some fish. Chin. Diminutive and derogatory beard. Name of a Venezuelan hacienda in the State of Carabobo where a liberating battle was held on September 30, 1813. One of the heroes was Athanasius Girardot.

It was a showdown that had as main characters, on the one hand, the Venezuelan troops and forces auxiliary Grenadines led by Rafael Urdaneta and Atanasio Girardot and the other to the Royalist Army, led by Domingo Monteverde, reinforced by members of the regiment of Granada, arrived from Spain under the command of Colonel Miguel Salomón. Abobo ( took place on September 30, 1813 on the left side of the Hill of the hacienda Barbula, on the outskirts of Nagua-nagua, in the current state CarVenezuela ). The resulting victory for the Allied army colombo-venezolano influenced by critical mind, paving the way for the establishment of the second Republic of Venezuela.
