It is the name of a timber tree from West Africa. Its wood is very valuable for having a natural pink color, being hard, heavy and very resistant to moisture, fungi and insect attack. Its scientific name is Guibourtia demeusei, it belongs to the genus Guibourtia and the Fabaceae family (Leguminosae).
