It is one of the common names given to the Dipterys tree of the family Fabaceae panamensis. It also receives the names of baru, tonka, yellow almond, Cumaru, evoe. It is a very tall, very humid forests tree. It is the name of an ethnic group from Costa Rica and also their language, which is of origin Chibcha is named.
