It is a term used in Physics and especially Quantum Physics. It is one of the two basic types of elementary particles that exist in nature (the other type is the fermion). It is characterized by having an integer spin. It is so named because it was dedicated to the Indian physicist, Satyendra Nath Bose.
In the language of physics, it is the elementary particle that, like the photon, exerts the interaction between fermions.
