It means originally from Betulia, born in Betulia. In Colombia there are 3 municipalities with that name. One belongs to the Department of Antioquia, another to the Department of Santander and another to the Department of Sucre (in this case the full name of the municipality is San Juan de Betulia). Apart from the above, there are also two localities called Betulia: one in the Corregimiento of Arabia in Pereira (Risaralda) and another in Purísima, in the Department of Córdoba. In algiunos cases the name Betuliense is also used.
