In some parts of Colombia (especially in the Eastern Plains), it is a jocosal and colloquial way of referring to the mistress. It is also called Babilla or babiyá (by easy babe). Lover, concubine, dear, waitress. It is taken as the female alligator, which in Colombia in addition to being the name of an aquatic reptile, is also the way to refer to the male lover.
