AZAYASÚ (FUN'YA NO) AZAYASÚ Japanese poet who lived in the middle of the Heian era (794 to 1185) His father was the poet Fun'ya no Yasuhide. Details about his life are little known. In 892 he was appointed as a low-ranking government official in Suruga Province.
