Asur. Assyrian God of war and power. Character mentioned in the Bible, in Genesis 10:22. He was one of the sons of Shem, son of Noah in turn. After the biblical flood, the sons of Noah, Shem, ham and Japheth became the parents of the Nations of the world. SEM was the father of Asur where they come precisely from the Assyrians as well as other nations of Mesopotamia.
