An oviparous animal ( from the latin ovum, " 34 egg; and parire, " stand " ) It is an animal whose mode of reproduction includes deposit eggs in the external environment where complete their development before hatching. All of the birds as well as the majority of insects, fish, amphibians and reptiles are oviparous. Among the mammals only are oviparous monotremes ( the Platypus and the echidnas ).
