Plural of chickweed. It is one of the names that receives a tree, in Catalan. More alzines is used. Its scientific name is Quercus ilex, of the family Fagaceae. Also has many other common names, such as: Alsina, oak, chaparro, oak, chaparra, marrasca, machicolation. Les Alzines is the name of a residential centre for the elderly in Tarragona, Spain.
