almagana of carpentry is incorrectly written and should be written as "carpentry almagana" being its meaning: It is a tool of stone which is called also squaring, maza, marra, sledgehammer, hammer...that consists of a very heavy iron mallet and a long wooden handle assembled in it and which serves to split stones, nailing streaks iron wedges, or knocking the chunks to make them smaller. Also used in woodworking to embed larger iron wedges which make splitting wood in wood
