Name of an opera by Georg Friedrich Handel (HWV 34). Name of one of the characters of that same opera, the witch, Alcina. It is also one of the common names given to the oak tree. Its scientific name is Quercus ilex and belongs to the Fagaceae family. It is also known as alsina, elder, argallón (gall), acorn, holm oak, chaparro.
