Alcapurria is the name given in Puerto Rico to a fried dish prepared with grated plantain, and stuffed with meat. This food is very similar to the carimañola that is prepared in Colombia, with the difference that the carimañola can be filled with meat, chicken or cheese, depending on the taste.

The word ' 'Alcapurria ' ' originating in Spain 1600 ' s. The word this ' based, in the echo that then in olive groves olive was killed tomavan capers traditionally and they wet them in olive oil and vinegar.
