In the criminal procedure law is called Special Prosecutor to the victim for the crime, whose intervention is not necessary in the crimes of public action, because in these cases the prosecution is carried out by the Prosecutor. Privately actionable offences requires the existence of a private prosecutor.The law authorizes ( it does not require ) to the Special Prosecutor, victim of the offense, to intervene eventually and in conjunction with the Prosecutor, through his lawyer, in crimes of public action, and may in this case having two prosecutors, one public, the Prosecutor, as an officer of the State and another individual, the victim by the criminal act.
