It is an aquatic plant. It is one of the common names of cattails, rush, enea, acenia, bayunca or esadana. Its scientific name is Typha latifolia, of the Thyphaceae family. Also the aceña or acenia is a specialized wheel used to derive water from a stream and directed at an irrigation canal. Diversion dam, hydraulic mill. Aceña is a word of Arabic origin and means forklift.
