If I am not mistaken, the word " antuca " it comes from French " tout cas " ( " " Nevertheless, " in all 34 occasions; ) referring to the appliance that could be well used women as sunshade or umbrella depending on the circumstances, and that should always have on hand, i.e. " 34 anyway;. It must have been used until the first third of the 20th century.
