WaSP in Galician: is nespra: the genus Polistes is part of the family Vespidae or WaSP ( wasps ) that often cause allergic reactions to the venom inoculated to the bite.In our latitudes are frequent the Polistes gallicus and the Polistes dominulus, which superficially resemble the common WaSP. However, the species of the genus Polistes are smaller and more Gracile than the Vespula.
