Arrack: the word itself is derived from the Arabic; ( ¹±Â, do araq ) what do sweat do or do hard liquor do.????? Drink strong alcoholic who originated in the Middle East or Asia, usually distilled from the fermented SAP of Palm, rice, or molasses. Currently the arrack developed to the South and Southeast Asia is amber and this differentiates it from the araq to be drawn up in the middle of transparent appearance. In Sri Lanka the current arrack is very similar to the Spanish brandy, and often mixed with Coca Cola or lemonade. The arrack is served in the bars of the large hotels. The most important quality of the arrack callsign is V.S.O.A., which means Very Special Old Arrack, and product that bears this name must be at least 7 years.
