It means climbing stranger. Comes from the word of the Greek roots Xenos (strangely) and Mongoose (climber). It is a genus of birds belonging to the family Furnariidae, and we know them in Colombia such as coligrises or colagrises.
Xenerpestes: A genus of passerine birds of the family of the ovenbirds whose species are grouped into South America and southern Central America and are known as colagrises.
