Meaning of vasenilla

John Rene Plaut

VASENILLA Bowl-shaped container used to collect droppings and urine. Formerly few houses had bathroom and had to go to the bottom of the patio or garden where the latrines were, or, in the countryside a good distance from the house. The bacenica or pelela, together with the duck or parrot to urinate, were necessary elements, especially for night use or if you were sick.
