In Biology and Ornithology it is the name of a genus of birds in the family Tityridae. They are also known as titiras, tuerés, torrejos or bacacos. They are found in America from Mexico to Argentina. The name comes from Tityri, who in Greek mythology was a noisy and aggressive satyr.
