It is the name of an enzyme found in chloropletes that are able to synthesize their essential metabolites (autotrophea organisms), such as plants. These organisms require light to perform photosynthesis. Ribisco is the apocoptic form of ribulose-1, 5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase. The rubisco is the most abundant prosthetic enzyme in nature and is supernecessary for the transformation of carbonic gas into Oxygen.
