It is a Latin name that is equivalent to Leticia. Translate , "the one that brings happiness", "the one that brings joy" , joy or happiness. In Roman mythology it was another way to call Ceres the goddess of Agriculture. In French and German languages it is also variant of Leticia. It is also the name of an asteroid.
