It is a very common tree in the Caribbean especially close to the beaches. Is the also called icaco, uvero, uvero Beach, uvita's friend nuen, beach, elephant ear, tamalero. Its scientific name is Coccoloba barbadensis and belongs to the family Polygonaceae.
