For a time it was the alternative name of a satellite of Jupiter, today called Himalia. Name of one of the goddesses of Olympus in Greek mythology, it was a Sunset Nymph (Hesperide), who lived in the garden of the West. She was the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. Name of an asteroid (46).
