It is the fear of the male genitalia, specifically the penis. While there is the Latin phallus (" phallus , penis ") , 'phallophobia' is taken from the Greek ?????? (phallós "erect penis" which further indicates a fear of sexual intercourse), and the suffix ????? ( fovos "fear" ) ; although itifalophobia may be tighter.
