Inflammation of the lymph nodes of the neck by tuberculosis. Scrofulae. In medicine it is an infectious process that affects the lymph nodes, especially those of the neck. It was highly studied and described in several books by the French physician Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol. It is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis agent causing tuberculosis.
