ENGLERIANO concerning or belonging to the phylogenetic system of classification of plants, the first after Darwin announced his theory of Natural Selection, which Adolf Engler published in 1892 and which continued to be developed and published until 1964. It is no longer used because it is conceived under morphological observations with magnifying glass and microscopic, stages surpassed today by molecular biology. Today it is no longer considered phylogenetic.
