Meaning of déjà vu

déjà vu: It's not Spanish but French, but it's used as a locution to describe the feeling of having experienced a situation before, even if we know it's impossible. Literally, deja vu means "already seen". See groundhog day, paramnesia, medical/paramnesia.; It is an expression in French, which means already seen. In many cases this galicism is used, to express in Spanish memory, nostalgia, longing.
