In Theology and Religion it is the cult of veneration, which can be to the Virgin, the Saints or the Angels. It can mean servitude, slavery, by peaceful and unreserved submission to God's will. Full dedication to veneration and the Sacred. The word Hyperdulia is also used in the same sense.
