He was a matriarchy, and his warrior women inspired the legend of the Amazons who were supposed by the Romans as "ariscas women who rejected men"; in Latin they gave their region the name Sarmatia ("Sarmatia", which psychologists attached to the suffix -phobia in a very free interpretation of the behavior of the Sarmacians.
