Etymologically means "locked in if same", and comes from the Greek 953; 948; 953; 969; 964; 951; 962; (idiotes, "individualistic"), which takes him from 953; 948; 953; 959; 962; (idios, "typical of a person"). In Greece it was thought that who did not participate in the political and democratic life dealing only with itself, was by selfishness and lack of education.
