It is the name of a typical dance of Northern Argentina (Corrientes). Name of a musical air of Guarani origin. The word in Guarani means "any thing".

It is attributed several etymologies, one is the Guarani che amoá memé ( "I give shadow always" ), which is associated with the awning of tangled branches to dance in the shade; where the three meanings would come from.
