Name of a plant of the family Asteraceae of medicinal uses. It is also usually called wonder, mercadela, centella, warbler, flamenquilla, carnation or golden button. Its scientific name is Calendula officinalis. The word is of Latin origin and means over the months. Its petals are also used as a substitute for saffron.
